The overview
Classic Pool Tile & Stone supplies pool coping and tile to builders. Accurate quotes used to require manual perimeter templating followed by CAD preparation, taking one to three days per job. We built native apps that scan the pool, assemble its geometry and let builders place materials on the actual shape before ordering.

The challenge
A sample chip could not show a finished pool.
Homeowners had to choose a permanent installation from small material samples, while builders spent days measuring and preparing layouts before they could give a reliable quote. A single photograph could not capture a curved perimeter or produce usable measurements.
The product needed to solve both confidence and accuracy: show the material on the customer’s own pool and give the builder geometry that could support the job.

Builders select materials, preview and adjust the layout, then finalize the design and order in-app.

Testing included curved perimeters, reflective water and variable outdoor lighting rather than relying on rendered scenes.

Python vision services on Azure Functions handle bursty image processing, alongside the .NET catalog and ordering backend.
