The overview

EdgeQ is a Santa Clara semiconductor company building a Base Station-on-a-Chip. Its website needed to communicate both the market opportunity and the technical substance. We designed and built six pages that introduce the world the chip powers, then reveal the technology behind it.

Distinct audiences served

The challenge

Three audiences. One highly technical story.

Engineers needed the chip architecture. Investors wanted the market thesis. Journalists needed a story and accessible media information. The old static site presented a list of facts without giving any of them a clear path.

A chip cannot explain its value through a product photograph alone. The homepage needed to show what the technology makes possible, while keeping detailed specifications within easy reach.

The solution

A story first. Technical depth one click away.

We separated the homepage’s narrative role from the Technology page’s engineering role, so each audience gets the right level of detail.

A continuous visual narrative

The homepage moves from dark to light, from distant telecom towers to the chip powering the connections.

A dedicated technology story

Chip diagrams and technical content live on a focused page for engineers evaluating the product.

Useful media resources

Press releases, coverage and events have their own structure instead of competing with product information.

Client-owned publishing

WordPress, role-based access and a staging environment let EdgeQ’s team manage content independently.

The approach

From the first decision to delivery.

Separate audience needs

Early design reviews moved the detailed chip treatment to Technology and gave the homepage a broader narrative.

Work in the open

Twice-weekly reviews, dated decisions and shared Figma access kept scope and design changes visible.

Deliver the whole platform

The site launched on 13 February 2022, with hosting and security moved to AWS EC2 and Shield.

The outcome

What changed.

EdgeQ gained a coherent digital presence that serves engineers, investors and journalists without making them follow the same journey. Abstract imagery also gives the company room to evolve its market focus without rebuilding the homepage around new application photography.
